WHO IS...

Ahlia Love is the quintessential renaissance woman. One who believes
that through God all things are possible. And it's for that reason that she
has explored a multitude of career paths that have led her back to what
was concluded after taking an elementary school aptitude test; that she
would more likely excel in the Arts, Business, Politics and Science.

After receiving a degree in Fashion Technology, Ahlia worked for a short
time in that field. Soon after she was lured into the business she had
loved since childhood, Music. In the late '80's she began as a local club
Disc Jockey who was offered the chance to join a well known group of
radio Disc Jockeys, known as the WDAS-FM "Party Animals".

During the 1990's, Ahlia had an "on and off again" relationship with radio
and television. She became Operations Manager for a local TV show
"Sounds of the Underground". The show staff produced a major hip-hop
concert at Robin Hood Dell East featuring, Run DMC, the Roots and
many other power hitters. This concert experience led her to develop a
relationship with the venue which proved to be fruitful beyond her wildest
dreams. During a concert  she assisted a legendary band with a few
pre-concert needs which led to an opportunity to tour briefly with them.
The group is Mandrill.

The transition back to radio came after hearing about the local rock
station WDRE, being purchased and converted to an urban format. Her
first official involvement with the new WPHI was from an invitation from
show host Bahamadia, who had a segement "Queens of the Cypher".
This was the beginning many hats being worn by Miss Love during her
years with the station. Her versatiliy led her to an opportunity to work

as an assistant to the Chief Engineer at WPHI radio station, she became
a wiring technician.  During this time she worked with a team installing
voice and data lines for a variety of well known locations throughout the
Philadelphia area. Aside from her technical endeavors, Ms. Love still
enjoyed working as a Dee Jay and Emcee for various special events.

In 2005, Ahlia was asked to carry on a tradition that had become one of
Germantown, Pennsylvania's largest annual summer events; The
Peoples' Festival. Since that time she has made it a personal goal to use
this annual festival to help Philadelphia re-claim it's title of "Brotherly
Love & Sisterly Affection.

Along with the Peoples' Festival, Ahlia keeps a busy schedule as an
Audio Engineer, Youth Mentor, Community Activist, Entrepreneur,
Amateur Photographer, Managing Editor of Backline Magazine, Event
Producer, Landscaper, Daughter and Animal lover... that's just part-time.
