Peoples' World Wide Web is an extension of the annual Peoples' Festival held since 1978 in Philadelphia, PA.

This website is a place for the creative community to network and take advantage of opportunities that may enhance what you may already have going on in your profession.

Much like the Peoples' Festival this site provides visibilty on the world wide stage to performers and artists of all media who have either appeared at our event and those who have expressed an interest in doing so.

Andre Moore began his life as an artist at the age of 5. Born in Washington DC and raised in Philadelphia, the self taught painter began by drawingimages on any"surface"he could find...walls, furniture, books, floors even lightbulbs. Once he discovered sketch pads making his mother very happy,all of his waking hours were spend drawing. As a child of the 1970's...his early inspirations were Saturday morning cartoons, album covers and a tvshow called Good Times. One of the characters from the show was a young artist.I n 1981, Moore transitioned from drawing to painting on canvas.Influenced by artists such as Ernie Barnes, Chuck Close,J ean-Michel Basquiat, Frank Frazetta,and M.C.Esher...along with the burgeoning hip hop culture. His artistic horizons grew by leaps and bounds. After high school Moore began several forays into the different aspects of art and design likesign painting, truck lettering, hand painted t-shirts,commisioned paintings, murals, calligraphy and fashion design.Honing his skills while buildinghis reputation throughout the 80's and 90's, Moore has become a"beacon"of artistic inspiration,g iving advice and guidance to young artists and designers in the Philadelphia area. Today, Moore is still painting and designing most recently providing art for independent films, backdrops forfashion photographers and graphics for various clothing companies while designing for his own clothing company,Lang Hu.

P3W Commentary "An Appeal for the Preservation of Class"

Fashion designers will be featured in this section. If you are promoting a new collection, an upcoming fashion show or if you are looking for house, print or runway models this is the place for you to exchange your information with the world.
P3W Fashion Commentary (An Appeal for the Preservation of Class) In this début article I feel that its only fair to give this space to someone who has experienced the Fashion Industry from the front line and behind the scenes. Someone who has lived undercover for three decades watching fashion trends come and go. This person should be skilled in the area of design, promotion and production. Wow, there are so many qualified members of the creative community to choose from and were on a deadline here. So, that person will have to be Me Ahlia Love. I walk around in plain sight though I may be more able to observe from so many levels because I am not caught up in trends. When you see me on the street I am more likely to be wearing jeans, boots, a tool belt and I might be carrying a ladder. This attire does get plenty of stares but still it allows me a level of invisibility to see things many critics might otherwise miss. And what qualifies me to make such critiques? Perhaps its my degree in Fashion Technology. What has happened to us as nation of so-called civilized people? Although, the fashion industry has bred many rebels who have turned the industry upside down; none have had such a major impact on the world than those responsible for popularizing the term Ghetto Fabulous. The trend seemed to start in the early 1990s when the Hip Hop duo Kris Kross hit the scene sporting the backward hats, shirts and jeans. Ok, what started as a fad took off in a slightly idiotic direction. The jeans might be worn these days with the zipper facing forward but now the jeans are hanging so low theres no need to unzip even if you had to go. Now we bear witness to bare bottoms and a variety of boxer and brief styles that should not be visible. A style commonly referred to as SAGGIN. And you know what that spells when the letters are reversed. Another interesting fact about this trend is that a large number of people who choose to follow this trend are developing spinal issues since the posture is severely affected by the Sagging fad. Glorifying a known prison system culture also seems to be part of the attraction to this multi-billion dollar classless fashion choice. I often wonder if anyone understands what CLASS means? Outside of the school system the word CLASS represents the dignified standards of excellence that we once strived for. It was ingrained in most of us (above the age of 40) as a way to conduct, prepare and present ourselves before leaving the house. Many of us were told to stand up straight, stop slouching. In some case we were instructed on how to walk with heels on our feet and books on our head; all part of how were being trained to be taken seriously as we stepped out into the world. The EVERYTHING IS FOR EVERYBODY is a perpetual lie that have made many people in this world stankin rich; EVERYTHING IS NOTFOR EVERYBODY. Ladies, if I see one more chunky Sister wearing a halter top that ties around the waist exposing multiple rolls of your mid-sectionI will not hesitate to snatch her up and rap to her. Now that supersized breasts seem to be the rage, UUUUGH, respect your girls. Nothing wrong with a little cleavage but COME ON the necklines are so low that if you sneeze, one of your girls could pop out onto the dinner table before dessert.
